JAMWiki is a Java-based Wiki engine that offers many of the same features as Mediawiki. The goals of the project are:
* Java servlet 2.4 and JDK 1.4 compatibility.
* Feature parity with MediaWiki.
* Quick and easy setup.
* Support for running either with or without an external database.
Many of the JAMWiki features are customizable, including the ability to create a custom parser for those who wish to use a Wiki syntax other than the Mediawiki syntax.
